Offering the most breathtaking views over Dubai and claiming the title of tallest building in the world (amongst other records) at a staggering 828 meters tall is the Burj Khalifa.
An architectural masterpiece, towering over the city and the desert, you can see the Burj Khalifa from miles away as it glistens in the desert heat. Visiting the Burj Khalifa was very high on our list of things we wanted to do in Dubai, with Thom especially interested in the construction aspect of the towering building.
And it did not disappoint, with views from the city out to the desert and the World Islands in the Persian Golf, there’s no better place to get a perspective of the United Arab Emirates.
At The Top Experience
The main destination at the Burj Khalifa is Level 124 and the At The Top Experience. After purchasing tickets a 65 metre long travelator will take you on a trip through time, from the earliest days of Dubai to the present, showing you close up views of the Burj Khalifa and insights into how it was built over A NUMBER years.
A high speed elevator travelling a 10 meters per second flies you up to Level 124 where you can experience breathtaking 360 degree views of Dubai, from the city all the way to the desert with wall to ceiling windows around the whole observation deck.
By night you can see the sparkling lights of the city, as well as an aerial view of the beautifully lit up Dubai Mall Fountain.
Level 125 of the Burj Khalifa
Connected to Level 124 by a stunning spiral flight staircase, Level 125 stands at 456 meters above the ground and offers an additional deck for you to take in the views, as well as an interesting perspective down to the outside deck of Level 124.
Make sure you take the time to view the city through the advanced telescopes located on both level 124 and 125, as they offer full HD cameras with a high zoom function to check out the city in greater detail.

Tickets to the Burj Khalifa
The ticketing system for the Burj can be a little bit confusing, with different prices for different times of the day. Visits to the Burj are offered by time slots and often sell out hours (or even days) in advance. It’s always a good idea to book your ticket in advance, as there is absolutely no guarantee you will be able to just walk in and go straight up.
Tickets for the At The Top Experience cost 125Dhs for adults (excluding the hours around the sunset, which is considered prime time) and admission to the At The Top Sky Experience which includes admission into Level 148 is between 350Dhs and 500Dhs depending on the time you visit.
An absolute must-visit during your time in Dubai, the Burj Khalifa offers the most spectacular views across Dubai.
