There’s nothing that screams luxury accommodation like an infinity pool overlooking the luscious green rice fields in Ubud and in our opinion there is no one that has achieved this better than Padma Resort in Ubud.
Boasting an incredible 89 meter infinity pool, with some of the most tranquil views over the rice terraces of Ubud, Padma Resort offers the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate in the Balinese jungle.
After the success and popularity of Padma Resort Legian, the Ubud Resort is the latest addition to the Padma family. It’s located in Payangan, approximately 13 kilometres from the centre of Ubud.
This five star property offers the ultimate luxury hotel experience surrounded by the luscious greenery of the jungle and also have without a doubt have some of the most helpful and kindest 24 hour reception staff we have ever met.
We have checked into many, many hotels and we were honestly blown away by the efficiency and overall attitude of the Padma Resort staff, they were absolutely exceptional in every way!

We were lucky enough to be some of the first people to stay at Padma Resort in Ubud, staying within the first month of the resort being open. As the resort was so new it was beautifully quiet when we were visiting, so we often had the pool almost completely to ourselves.
The wonderful staff at Padma also gave us a free room upgrade, to the a Premier Deluxe Room, which was a nice surprise. The rooms were just beautiful, so spacious and well decorated and really gave us all the Bali feels.
Included at Padma Resort Ubud
The Padma Resort Ubud include heaps of extras with your stay, just to make sure you have the most relaxing and care-free holiday ever.
You can organise complimentary airport transfers with your stay, which is such a great help considering the drive between the airport and Ubud is generally over an hour in Bali traffic.
A free buffet breakfast is included with your room, as well as free afternoon tea each day. The breatkfast was honestly one of the best hotel buffets we have ever seen and included so many foods! There was hot food, cereals, fruit, traditional Balinese foods, pastries, crepes and pancakes and even more to order omlettes. If you plan your breakfast right, you might not have to eat again for most of the day!
There is also free wifi throughout the whole resort and our room had some of the coldest air conditioning you could wish for in this humid climate. Good air conditioning is super rare to come by in Bali!
And to get you everywhere you need to go there is also a free hourly shuttle that will take you from the resort to the centre of Ubud’s village and back again. No need to pay for extra taxis or ubers or anything!
If you are too relaxed to ever leave the resort you can also dine at The Puhu Restaurant and Lounge, located on the top floor of the resort overlooking the stunning grounds and infinity pool and boasting 180 degree views across the bamboo forest and the rice paddies. With your meal you should definitely order a side of wok fried/steamed broccoli, which comes in a mouth watering garlic sauce. I know that I am more obsessed with broccoli than the average person, but honestly, best I have ever tasted!
The Puhu Restaurant and Lounge is open for the following meals each day –
- Breakfast between 6:30am and 10:30am
- Lunch between 12pm and 2pm
- Afternoon tea between 2:30pm and 4pm
- Dinner between 6:20pm and 1:30pm
We couldn’t recommend Padma Resort highly enough if you’re looking for the perfect luxury stay in Ubud, the entire experience was truly outstanding.
